METCASH ORDERING SYSTEM (MOS)

The Metcash Ordering System (MOS) will again be used for all Expo orders. It removes the need for manual turn-in orders, reduces errors, and provides real-time visibility as orders are placed. Retailers expect the very best, Expo-only deals, and MOS supports suppliers in offering strong promotions and managing high volumes through face-to-face negotiations.

MOS use is compulsory for all warehouse suppliers, and manual orders will not be accepted.

MOS Supplier Guide

This guide is designed to help you navigate the different functions when using the website, specifically to create your deals, as well as key and manage your retailer orders, and generate reporting that will help you manage all orders for your Metcash Food Expo.

How MOS Works

The Metcash Ordering System (MOS) is divided into two core areas: Deal Entry and Order Entry.

Deal Entry

Deal Entry enables suppliers to set up and manage the deals that will be offered to retailers. Deals may be created for single items or bundled into packages, but all submitted offers must represent the very best version of the deal available. Standard weekly-program pricing will not be accepted. All deals must be entered in retail carton quantities rather than single units.

Order Entry

Order Entry allows suppliers to enter a retailer’s order requirements, accept online submissions, review orders placed, and access progress reports throughout the event. When registering, please ensure the email address provided is the one where retailer orders should be received for keying.

Accessing MOS

Once you have registered for Expo you will receive a confirmation of your registration, along with your username and password to log into the MOS system. The Metcash Ordering System (MOS) is only supported in Google Chrome.

Maximising Your Expo Presence

Expo is not only an ordering event; it is a prime opportunity to showcase new product ranges, relaunches, advertising campaigns and promotional activity, as well as category growth initiatives. Ensuring your stand has knowledgeable, well-trained personnel will help you capture the full potential of the event. As MOS is an online system, order keying can also be completed remotely, allowing stand teams to focus fully on customer service and sales conversations.

EXPO DEAL BOOK

Retailers will receive the digital Expo Deal Book around three weeks before the event. To be included, all deals must be entered into MOS between 2 April and 25 May 2026, as the Deal Book is generated directly from the system. Any deals not entered by this cut-off will not appear in the version shared with retailers.

After 25 May, there will be a short lockout period while the MOS team reviews submitted deals and finalises the digital Deal Book. During this time, you won’t be able to view or edit your deals, so please export a copy before the cut-off. Once the lockout ends, you may continue to add or improve deals, but any changes made after 25 May will not appear in the initial digital Deal Book.

EQUIPTMENT

Suppliers who request laptops during registration will receive a dedicated device preloaded with MOS, assigned to their stand at no cost. Additional power points will be supplied as needed. Laptops can be collected from the main entry foyer opposite the registration desk from Saturday, 11 July 2026 and must be signed out and returned by a stand representative. All laptops must be securely stored when the show is closed and returned at the conclusion of the event on Tuesday, 14 July 2026.

Metcash Food and GCCEC staff will be available throughout move-in and during the show to provide onsite support. They will be easily identifiable by pink safety vests marked “IT Ordering Support,” and a dedicated IT helpdesk will also operate at the registration desk.

If you are using MOS on your stand, please complete the electronic ordering form from ExpoNet and provide a stand layout indicating where your equipment will be positioned. This ensures power and data infrastructure are placed correctly. It is essential that no stand builders remove or cover any computer cables around your stand.
